Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This posting is from Port des Bas Sablons which is part of the complex of St. Malo.
I loved the curve of the promenade wall and from this vantage point, there was a whole mixture of different buildings on view. The tall white one, which I think is a church, resembles a lighthouse but the most interesting building was the one to the right. This was called Manoir de Cunningham and seemed to have a lot of age.
I would imagine that a room in this hotel would command marvellous views across the bay and you would be able to watch the comings and goings of the yachts as well as the larger ferries and cruisers.
I looked on the Internet for historical information about the hotel, without success. But this link shows some lovely views of the environment click here
Many thnnks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

The tall white building certianly commands attention and like you say resembles a lighthose more than a church. The second thing I noticed was the sweeping curve of the sea wall, so no wonder you used that in your composition. It looks a fairly quiet place, although I'm guessing that is a deceptive impression. Well done

Hello Bev,
Interesting name for an area in France; I assume an Englishman lived there at one time and maybe built the tower. You have chosen a good point of view to encompass this interesting ensemble of architecture. I like the way the curving quayside draws us into the image. Very good colours and clarity.

Hi Beverley
No doubt this would look even better with a full tide, but nobody is expecting a reverse King Canute here. I like the sweeping curve of the esplanade too, which provides excellent lead in lines. Tfs!

Hello beverley,
An excellent composition, very plesant for the yes with this incurving wall in the FG. This wall give a great prospect effect to the image. An image rich in details very well collected. The peoples give an element of life and an interesting idea of the sacle of the place.
Best regards, have a god WE,

Bev, very interesting this curve, I imagine the stone work of the wall was anything but easy. Do you suppose this was done to diminish the effect of surf or waves? Nice detail and color as always and a great note.

Hello Bev,
This is a lovely perspective on the dock, with the water at low tide accentuating the curves of the wharf. I am fascinated by the wild variations that the tides bring to this area. Your note is first class as usual.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Beverley,
I like this composition with the curve of the wall which naturally takes the look directly towards the tower the colour of which matches the colour of the clouds so well and is domineering in the scene despite the relatively big amount of darker colours :) very well chosen POV!
Kind regards
and wishes of a nice day!
Elena
