Photographer’s Note
Well, this is the first picture I have managed to capture of Santa (Father Chistmas/St Nicholas) doing his annual check on everyone to see who has been good and who has not. So, if you were in Paris this evening and you haven't been good this year...then no presents for you I guess ;-)
Continuing with my series of pictures of Paris by night (given the short days I have decided that focussing on night time photography provides more opportunities to explore the city). This photograph is from the top of Tour Montparnasse (the tallest office skyscraper in Paris, second tallest after Eiffel Tower). The view is towards the Eiffel Tower, Invalides is visible a bit lower and to the right. Above Invalides and a bit to the left is the Arc De Triomphe.

Superb picture! I love it! The lights, the tower, the streets lit up with cars, and to top it off Santa!
Well done I will definately check out your other shots!

Very nice night shot. I really like the beam from the Eiffel tower and your point of view. A goregeous ocean of lights...

Great picture ! The Eiffel tower and the Invalids appear like golden jewels. I like the contrast between enlighted streets and dark areas and the dark blue colour of the sky. Finally, you managed to capture the sledge of Father Christmas which is not easy, considering its high speed. Funny note.

Bien vu David !

Hi david
I must go there next time; what a spectacular view and the lights and Santa himself are well captured here.
