On pourra dire qu'on l'aura gagné à la sueur de notre front (heureusement pas trop de sang grâce à nos gants), ce cirque de la solitude, il mérite vraiment sa réputation d'épreuve maîtresse du GR20! Dire que nous sommes descendus par la brèche juste à droite du Punta Rosa, le pic rocheux en face!
Pendant qu'on reprend notre souffle après 4 heures de traversée (le guide disait 2... mais on préférait y aller prudemment avec le lourd sac à dos), les omniprésents Taculas(saurez-vous le trouver dans l'image?) connaissent très bien ce lieu comme étant un arrêt privilégié des randonneurs, et des miettes qu'ils laissent derrière...

Let's just say that we won it with a lot of sweat (and not too much blood thanks to our gloves), this Cirque of Solitude, it really earned it's reputation as the main challenge on the GR20! Just imagine that we got down from the notch right besides the Punta rosa, the rocky peak in the center!
While taking a breather after 4hours of crossing this rocky chasm (the guide said 2... but we preffered to tread carefully with the heavy backpack), the ever present Taculas(Can you find it on the picture?) know this spot very well as a prime lunching stop for trekkers, and the crumbs they leave behind...
