Photographer’s Note
I closed down my TrekLens and TrekNature account. I deleted most of my photos on TrekEarth, but keep my account so that my comments on other people's photos and workshops are not lost.
I just got too tired of the changes here on TrekEarth. The focus is not on photography anymore, but on managing the site, advertisements and the subsequent discussions between members on the future of TE. Unfortunately the TE management and moderators don't listen to their customers. They only lock the threads that have negative notions.
I don't want to see my photographic work to be mixed with advertisements, discussions between members on the TE direction and total silence from the management.
You can find my newest photography-account on FLICKR.com: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dpbours/
For the more in-depth photographic discussions I will set up an account on Photo.net.
Don't be sad. Be happy for me! I made a choice and I won't regret it.
To leave is mainly about leaving and not about regretting decisions.
Goodbye,
Dennis

One by one great photographers and friends are leaving TE and it is getting more desperate everyday. I hope you'll find what you really expect for on other sites.
About the shot, an irresistable example of dark tunnel photos in b&w.
Take care!
Burcu

Hi Dennis,
I don't see the situation on TE as you do... but I respect your choice.
I was happy to know you and wish you all the best... here or there :-)
Good shot to illustrate your note. It really looks like a one way ticket.
Take care,
Marianne

Hi Dennis:
1) the perspective and the moment you decided to take this photo are really nice. The B&W is the final goal;
2) I am not so active in TE as you were in the past, anyway the new look of the website drives me crazy everytime.
Regards,
Andrea.
