Photographer’s Note
May 31st 2009 was a sunny sunday in Finistere with temperatures up to 27 degrees celsious. I saw a board the day before that announced a heritage vehicle parade coming from Brest through Crozon and finishing at Quimper. So I took the camera with me.
This was a good idea. Never saw more than 800 historic motorcycles, motorbikes, cars, utility vehicles and trucks in such excellent condition with drivers and co drivers dressed in historic suites fitting the built year of their vehicles which coverd the time between the dawn of the 20th century until the late 1960s.
This shows a Citroen cabriolet built 1928 at the head of the parade. Some other great sights and personalities will follow.
In the first series I used a wideanlge with a slow shutterspeed and followed the vehicles in order to achieve that movement effect with a blurred BG. The second series will show more details at higher shutterspeeds.
