Photographer’s Note

I usually wouldn't have posted this kind of picture and I cetainly will remove it soon. But the phenomenon was particulary bright and with large coloured shapes.
We were driving through the lovely Picardie, back from Normandie to Holland, on a very rainy afternoon, when it happened. And from the driving car, in a reflex, I clicked... I thought some people who love weather phenomenes might like it.

About Picardie:
From WEB: Picardy (French: Picardie) is a historic region in northern France that is now within the departments of Aisne, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, and Somme. Amiens was the region's capital. On Picardy's fertile soils wheat, sugar beets, and fodder crops are grown. Dairy and beef cattle are raised, and intensive vegetable cultivation takes place on the heavily fertilized, drained peat in the valley of the Somme river.

No why remove this - surely a very bright and strong bow you got here - I spotted something like this last year - but I was driving at a highway and without my camera - thanks for sharing your fine catch - I like it.

Pourquoi la retirer ? Elle est très bien.
Juste retirer l'avant-plan sombre et cela donnera plus d'impact au sujet.
Arc en ciel épais = forte pluie à l'opposé.

Si les arcs-en-ciel duraient un quart d'heure, plus personne ne viendrait à les admirer.
Et c'est justement parce que ce moment est fugace et toujours magique qu'il faut le faire partager.

Bonjour Viviane. J'ai été attiré par le rayon de lumière sur le sol. C'est une superbe image. Il n'y a que dans les pays où il pleut que l'on peut voir des phénomènes comme celui là. Belle prise de vue. Il me semble qu'il y a un tout petit peu de bruit? Pourquoi voulez vous enlever cette photo?

Effectivement un bon réflex ! Je crois reconnaitre à peu près l'endroit d'où tu as pris cette photo. Les couleurs sont très belles, je la trouve intéressante. J'aurais peut être juste coupé la partie noire en bas de l'image, mais bon. Bien vu en tout cas,

Je n'en ai jamais vu d'aussi violement coloré. Très bonne idée de mettre ce cliché sur TE car un tel phénomène est certainement rare dans nos contrées.

Awww don't remove it Viviane. It is a great shot. Just how many times does one see such a phenomena? Such a clear view to the base of the rainbow and wonderful bright colours. The sky also is very interesting with the cloud formations. Did you get out and try to find the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow?

Nice reflexes, Viviane, and I suppose Chris was driving... ;o) It turned out nicely too - no need to remove it - with a really 'rich' and colorful rainbow base. The flat landscape is well rendered and I like the dramatic sky as backdrop and the dark silhouette of bushes at the bottom, creating great contrast to the bright colors. Very well done!

Isn't there an item called 'Primary colors' in the Hunt?

The colours are so vivid Viviane, and such a lovely place. I like the soft light shining on the back field, and the way you left a lot of sky in the compositon.

It could well be an empty tulip field in Holland.

Elle est belle et il ne faut certainement pas la retirer. Enlever le fond sombre peut-être. C'est ce que j'ai fait dans un ws. Je ne sais pas, qu'est ce que vous en pensez???

C'est un moment magique tel qu'on en voit rarement. Il ne faut pas l'enlever cette photo Viviane, elle est impressionnante.

On court souvent après mais c'est rare d'en attraper, surtout comme ici.
Couleurs naturellement mais surtout bien cadré.

this is a great shot, i dont think you will remove it now, after 3 weeks! it is great teh dark foreground and the moody clouds on the background, very nice, did you find the pot of gold? :)

Why remove it? This is a great capture and the colors of the rainbow are vivid. Excelent composition.

Merci aussi pour appréciation et vos conseils que vous émettez tout au long de l'année.
Concernant la photo ci-dessus, les arcs-en-ciel sont toujours des phénomènes impressionnant, je pense que vous avez du recadrer car l'image est très douce ; c'est vrai, un morceau de noir dans le bas en moins quitte même à le supprimer et essayez de remettre un poil de netteté sans approter du grain, mais ça…

C'est un bon réflexe la photo est superbe et un peu plus de netteté ne gache rien au contraire la retouche de venne me semble bonne.
