Canal de la Robine in black&white
Usually I prefer color (as I seldom meets the nature in BW hehe..). But this time I found the use of an Anvil filter interesting to have some added contrast in the setting of the lone tree along the canal.
Do not miss this moody 2minutes HD video in BW from the Canal>>
The active Vaubane was an architect behind the project of the canal Robine in the end of the 1600. The canal continues for a part through Narbonne and meets finally up with Canal de Midi - being in all 32 km. (The video covers a little part between Port Nouvelle and Narbonne (17km))
Have a fine weekend out there :-)

Nice composition. Although the grass at the base seem a bit too saturated !! May be you can adjust the midtone.

salut jack
un canal que tu as immortalisé en N&B de la meilleure des façons, un contraste bien dosé, et une perspective idéale

Hi Jack,
I very much like the effect of the b/w here. The tree looks very impressive, like an exploding atom bomb! Magnificent shot.

Hello Jack,
Nice view, and very good choice of the B&W in this case. Th e sky black makes a atmosphere strange and nearly dramatic. But the canal itself is giving us enough quiet view.
Well done.
Salutations

Hello Jack,
Une très belle prise de vue en noir et blanc. Je trouve l'aspect contrasté de la scène vraiment très bon.
On a l'impression de voir les feuilles de l'arbres bouger dans le vent. Etrange sensation.
Une très belle photographie.

Hi Jack. Very good tech and treatment on this photo, giving an almost outworldish look to a common scene by the river. Well composed with the interestingly-shaped foreground tree anchoring the frame, and opening up a good perspective into the gentle landscape.

Hi jack, Very intriguing photo, has a wierd atmosphere. Although the theme is different but reminds me Anselm Adams photos. Mysterious tree.

Hello Jack,
This is a highly dramatic composition, specially in b&w. I enjoyed immensely taking the two-minute trip along the BW canal. Warm regards,
