Revisiting old pics in the mental preparations for the upcoming summer holidays ;-)
Detail of a legumes & fruits stall at the Port du Niel. We passed there after our return from Porquerolles island and I couldn’t resist the bold ánd weather beaten colours and textures …and of course the outdoor type. Sometimes that’s all I visually need.

The Presqu’ile de Giens is in the Hyères region, the most western part of the Cote d’Azur and it's the place where coastal and beach tourism first started in Southern France. And happily the full brunt of it eventually moved East with the result that the region is more tranquil and less heavily urbanized then the other parts of the coast. A lovely place to stay.

The tech: PCS4 work flow: I altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, using different layers, used the high pass filter on a 85% transparant layer to bring out the textures a bit more flattened the image,USM-ed, added a frame and resized and did a USM (0,2px, 78%) again.

Hi Bert. I really like this photo. The colors are so vibrant. The scene is just pleasing. Makes me want to go out into the country and find some fresh veggies. Very nice.

De echte oude stalletjes op de markt met zeilen en al.
een echte Bert foto met een figuratie van verschillende lijnen en kleuren.
En boven de afkorting van het franse woord Lugumes, (groeten)dit als decoratie materiaal.
Nog een mooie zondag.

Well there is definite calculation behind the pp..the methodical approach..that has prerved the essentials of the photograph..and why not..there is no excuse for the technical aspect nowadays..well if one is hitting the high standards we see in salons etc...

nice combination of colours in a well tight frame!I see a lot of umbrellas to be gathered under the kiosk with the légumes to move in the air.Well done.

Hi Bert,

Wonderful strong colours an a graphically appealing all the lines and curves. The strong lighting was a great advantage here it really enhanced the beauty of the picture. TFS and have fine week!

Mooi grafisch detail hier!
Lekker aan het knutselen geweest in CS4 lees ik ook. Die high pass filters moet ik ook maar eens gaan gebruiken. Ik ben een beetje lui, dus meestal doe ik het in Nik Efex, dan layered de software alles en kun je het mooi instellen ;-).
