Photographer’s Note
Taken in one of the dozen of observatories at the Marquenterre Ornithological Park, in the Baie de Somme, in Northwestern France. These huts enable the visitors to see the mostly migrating birds taking some rest without disturbing them. Being there in spring and autumn increases the chances of seeing many kinds of birds. Nearly 2/3 of all bird species in France end up staying in this area for a couple of weeks.
Even if like me you're not really into bird watching, this visit is a great time just for the beautiful landscapes and the serenity it has to offer.
