Dear Gilles, vbbreizh.
When I saw the comments on your last photo, I just couldn't believe my eyes! I can't think that you won't be delighting our love of Breton architecture anymore!
But your gallery both on TE and on your personal site "vb'breizh" will remain alive.
There could hardly be a better lover of Brittany, of its architecture and of its history.
So, here is a photo dedicated to you and your passion: "St Guénolé" in Plougastel which you knew very well and photographed yourself for your personal site.

PS. In WS, I have added a map of the ancient bishoprics of Brittany, which Gilles sent me one day to help me better understand the location of his chapels and churches on his personal site.

Bonjour Marie-Louise,

Effectivement il va nous manquer notre ami Gilles, tout autant que ses photos sur le patrimoine breton qui venait enrichir notre culture personnelle et son merveilleux site personnel. Un très bel hommage avec cette jolie prise de vue colorée et lumineuse sur cette chapelle qui serait, certainement, venue gonfler sa collection, merci Marie-Louise.

Je suis désolé par la triste occurrence. Je ne connaissais pas Gilles ni son travail, mais il semblait une personne très intéressant et intéressé. C'est certainement une grande perdre pour sa famille, ses élèves et ses amis. Tu le rend une belle hommage avec cette belle et austère église bretonne photographier un contre-plongée avec un soleil radieux.

Marie Louise, this is an interesting one. Detail and color are grand as is the texture in the sky. I am not sure I like the tilt of the steeple and it may be that it can't be shot any other way. I do not know much about photo shop but I do know it will correct the perspective in these where the subject tilts away from the camera so obviously. Your sentiment is awesome,you said it all very well.

Una buona scelta del pov che fa risaltare il profilo (in diagonale) di questa bella chiesa di pietra racchiusa tra il prato verde e il cielo blu. Una composizioneche si fa apprezzare per la sua pulizia, taglio e colori.

belle photo de cette superbe Eglise avec cette magnifique tour a l' avant.

J'aime le cadrage qui rapproche l'église près du ciel, où, je le suppose est Gilles, tout un symbole. Une belle lumière, de belles couleurs qui lui auraient sûrement plu. Bravo pour cet hommage.

This is a beautiful view of the church and its tower to the right for a really good composition. Nice details and texture of the stone wall, beautiful day with lovely light blue sky. The only thing If I want to pick on, would be that I wish your POV is higher so we see the church a little more on the bottom, though the green grass layer is really nice in the foreground. Thanks

Muchas gracias por tus comentarios y criticas. Este lugar es muy interesante como tu dices a mi tamien me criaron a traves de la religion en mi caso no soy catolico fui educado bajo la religion mormona, the Church of Jesus Christ of latter days Saints, de la cual aprendi mucho pero ya no lo practico, sinembargo me a tre mucho el comienzo de la cristiandad y me gusta mucho cocnoer mas de esto y de tood lo que sea historia de esa froma se mas de mi y de quien soy. En lo perosnal los edificios antiguos me atraen mucho en especial las iglesias y esta no es la ecepcion. Espero poder ver mas de estas

El punto de vista bajo, hace atrayente la composición. El contraste de formas y colores, destacan altamente con el azul del cielo. La estructura de la fachada de la Iglesia, me gustan mucho, porque aparentan ser un lugar de mucha historia.
