Photographer’s Note
Saint Paul-de-Vence is a beautiful medieval fortified village perched on a narrow spur between two deep valleys. The beauty of the surrounding area, quality of life and exceptional light has inspired numerous famous artists, painters, writers and poets, some of whom took up residence in the village. It's a great pleasure to walk and lose yourself in a maze of charming streets of flowers, arches, little shady squares, porches, water fountains, beautiful windows, numerous art shops, and quaint restaurants.
Photo shows typical stone shop houses with with creepers of ivy, grape vines and others decorating the facades and door frames. This is as far back I could move to get as much into the frame ... therefore I had to cut something on top & bottom. Further cropping was need after perspective correction but that only affected the top and sides.
