Photographer's Note
My second postcard was promessed to Thien.
[But I think, I hope that Greg will appreciate this picture too...]
Maybe the red houses of Roussillon should stay red... But the atmosphere this balcony door inspirated me to change it to Black & White and adding a fine grain. I thought Julia could appear any moment...
First try but is it good enough?
Doesn't anybody know about Roussillon yet?
That little village on a hill between the mountains of the Vaucluse and the Luberon and owing its celebrity to her magnificent cliffs and impressive careers of ochre. Red, yellow and brown declining with contrast in the middle of the rich green pine forests. I already posted colour shots of Roussillon before and Steven/Curioso sent also wonderful images.
[And it can be my second sending for the Hunt - Theme: Doors]

Vivian, the title fits the image perfectly.
The composition if very good, pleasing and interesting balcony, plants add interest, good textures.
Black and white works very well here.
So did Julia open the door?

Hello Viviane! I'm glad to see you back. Square, noisy and black and white - this was certainly the first I opened! You know, I think Juliette was here, but a long, long time ago... Your treatment has created a very romantic atmosphere. You might try moving the white point in slightly to make those large areas pure white. Thanks very much for the postcard! (I'll send it on to Thien, now)

Julia ?
I expect Dracula within a few minutes:-)))
It's a great picture, nice composed and a very nice door, just a simple door, how beautiful can a detail be.

Thank you for the postcard, Viviane. A very romantic and rustic image, certainly something that I always imagine from France.
By all means push that white and while Greg's square framing is good, you may need to crop a bit on the left to bring the balance back in check.
