Photographer’s Note

Situé au confluent de deux rivières, l’Aveyron et la Bonnette, le lieu s’est appelé Condat (confluent) dès l’époque Celtique, puis Nobilis Valis (Noble Val) à l’époque Romaine.

Antonin est venu évangéliser les Ruthènes au début de l’ère chrétienne. Martyrisé à Pamiers, sa dépouille est revenue à Condat dans une barque tirée par deux aigles. À cet endroit, au VIIIème siècle, s’est construit l’Abbaye de Saint-Antonin. La ville s’est développée plus tard autour de cette abbaye et a pris le même nom.

I like this one specially because of the perfect and symmetrical reflection you have gotten in here! The place looks pretty quiet, peaceful and pleasant, with lots of brightness and it's so colorful!

La nettetté n'est peut être pas parfaite , et l'image un peu sombre , Mais la compositon est absolument remarquable . Avec deux diagonales , l'une dans l'ombre , l'autre dans la lumière qui éclaire si bien les superbes batisses et l'élégant clocher .
Et puis ce reflet fantastique !

A wonderful and perfect reflection. The water looks like a pure mirror, but also the tight angles and strong composition lines are very good found and composed. A complete different picture than the snow bench, but i like it...

colors are very saturated and water is very calm, nobody could be seen in this vilage.

for some reason I missed this photo when you posted it, but better later than never :) I like a lot the perfect symmetry of the reflection, it's almost impossible to tell where is the reality, and where - the illusion. the perfect blue of the sky adds to the surreal feeling, and I like a lot the strong angle of the bridge and the embankment. I might have cropped from the right to remove the dark bit that distracts a little from the perfection of the scene. but that's a minor point, and a matter of personal preference. great shot, Didier, I like it a lot.

What a beautiful blue sky, Didier, and the still water has given you perfect reflections. The angle of the sun was just perfect to bring out the colours on the buildings but to throw the bridge into almost a silhouette - I think that gives this photograph much more impact than if you had the sun behind you.
