Photographer’s Note

This of course is the real Father Christmas, 0:)), the one who existed before Coca-Cola or other commercial publicity decided to dress him up in red and white!
At the origin of this mythical character is St Nicholas who lived in Turkey in the XIth century and who is said to have saved 3 children from death!
He then became the saint who rewarded the good children with presents and punished the bad children.
This tradition used to be celebrated on December 6th and still is in the countries of Northern Europe.
But in the other countries, it was gradually transferred to Christmas eve!
In any case, if you have posted your letters to him, as I advised you to do in my last post, and if you have been good, I am sure he won't forget you!
I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST FOR CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.
