The architecture of the inside is characterized by a unity and a simplicity which rays of light resulting from high or side windows stresses. To the left, one of the very big characteristic round pillars of the place.

L'architecture de l'intérieur est caractérisée par une unité et une simplicité que les rayons de lumière provenant des fenêtres hautes ou latérales accentue. A gauche, un des très grands piliers ronds caractéristiques du lieu.

Bonsoir Jean-Jacques,

J'ai lu que cette imposante cathédrale était fermée pour travaux depuis juin 2012, tu l'as donc visitée à temps ! J'aime bien le point de vue, la perspective et les teintes variées des pierres, blanc cassé, rosées ou orangées, sans doute produites ou accentuées par les vitraux ?

very good depth achieved thanks to all these arches lined up neatly and well chosen POV. I like how the color changes from cool into warmer shades towards the centre of the photo.

Bonjour JJ ,
Un intérieur de cathédrale qui en impose par la hauteur des voutes . Le cadrage est intéressant . Ca à l'air un peu humide sur les murs !
J'ai recherché des images de l'extérieur : sa silhouette est assez curieuse , avec son clocher sas flèche mais surmonté d'une petite coupole .

Good choice of a vertical format with a soft diffused light and excellent sharpness and repetition of the vaulted ceiling arches. Excellent textural and shadow details. Perspective has been well managed. Bon weekend!

A magnificent church you show us today. THe off-centre POV accentuates the beautiful perspective created by the repeating arches. You have managed the light superbly, both in-camera and in post-processing. There seems to be a subtle use of HDR, perhaps I am wrong. But the mere fact that I am not sure shows me the incredible skill you have here.

another historic and charming scene from France.
its beautiful to see the repetitive arches that go deep into the scene.
and i know CLodo or Gert won't like it, but i like that its void of people, giving it a special atmosphere.
