In the Notre-Dame la Grande church, in the Sainte-Anne chapel, known as "of Insane", is a setting with the tomb carved out of polychrome stone, of XVIe century. Christ is deposited in a sarcophagus by Joseph d'Arimathie and Nicodème, under the glance of the Virgin, supported by saint Jean, and two holy women

One is unaware of the exact origin of this religious establishment, mentioned for the first time in 924 in the cartulaire of Redon. The building is rebuilt Romance in second half of XIe century, and is devoted in 1086 by the future pope Urbain II.

At the interior, fresco of origin remain around the chorus and in a crypt, but the church received in 1851 a painted decoration.

Poitiers is a french commune, located in the department of Vienna of the Poitou-Charentes area, populated of 83448 Pictaviens, distributed on 43 km², that is to say 1963 hab./km².
