"Le Pilori", old Town Hall of Niort

The old Town hall of Niort, invaluable example of architecture rebirth, was built in XVIème century by Mathurin Berthomé (which also worked with the church Our-injury) on the site of the old medieval Pilori. The higher part of the belfry dates from the XVIIe century. After having sheltered a time of the temporary exposures, it is a bookshop today.

A long time important center of chamois-leather factory (testify some to the name to the club of football "Les Chamois Niortais"), Niort is nowadays the capital of the mutual insurances, one finds there:

In the years 1970, because of the mutual insurance companies, Niort was a time the French city having had the most computers per capita.

Hello Joel,
I like the pov here looking up the little side street with the building slightly off centre. Very good tones and detail in the stonework and excellent sharpness throughout.

Nice composition and POV looking up to the top of the building with the two roadways leading the eye around the main subject. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Bonjour Joelle,
uen vue en lègère contre plongée qui évite pas mal les distortions optiques. Une photo prise avec une gestion parfaite des lumières, je ne connais pas ton appareil.
En tous cas c'est du tout bon cadrage.
Les nuages sont un poil surexposé, mais cela était inévitable si on voulait un batiment sous les lumières parfaites.
C'est très net.

Joël , c'est du classique mais du solide autant pour la construction que pour la composition. Tu as bien géré la lumière et le rendu de la pierre est excellent.

Belle photo de ce 'pilori', tour très jolie de par sa construction et de sa stature,belle construction avec ses gargouilles,ce systhème de construction du dessus avec cette suite de retenue et cette protection qui en fait le tour sont superbes. Amitiés Thomas

Une photo réalisée avec le A80 avec lequel je prends énormément de plaisir,l'image a du détail et la pierre est exposée pil poil!
J'aime les couleurs de ce cliché.Beau travail.
Possèdes-tu toujours l'appareil en état de fonctionnement?
Le jour où le mien cessera de fonctionner je serai très embêté pour trouver un machin aussi paramètrable que celui-là.
