The parish church of Saint-Cybard in the village of Montchaude.

The original church, which dated from the 12th century now lies in ruins with only the porch remaining. It is located some 100 metres south of this one in the grounds of the château. This new church was built in 1895-6. It was designed in the form of a Latin Cross by the architect Raymond Barbaud under the guidance of Edouard Warin. Funds for its construction were contributed by the Arnoux family.

The picture is a stitch of two images.

Montchaude is a village, population about 500, in the département of Charente close to the small town of Barbezieux. Its economy is dependent on farming and viticulture.
