This picture is from a nice village harbor(Loix) in Ile de re. It was low tidal and the sun hidden by the clouds.
A very dark and strange atmosphere. I usually like very bright and colorful pic but the clouds there seemed to me mysterious !!!
The original photo was already a big back-light. I played only with the levels (narrowed, and move the mid-tone to intensify the clouds).

Fantastic result! What time of day is this?
Too abd the boat is not a little more visible, but the color of the clouds is just amazing.

seems like engraving to me. As was said it's a pity that boats got lost on overexposed and on dark parts of the sea.

Good idea, an interesting result, but sorry - I can't consider this a good photo. Top part YES, bottom part NO!
And I would cut that black bit on the bottom. Overall, one point for a good attempt! ;-D
And... I'd like to do a little workshop on this one.

Un remake du "vaisseau fantôme" ?
Cliché très original et très bien réussi. Le détail des vagues en noir et blanc est très artistique. les nuages sont impressionants.

mood-mood-moody..just love your capture, your post work is very good on this, the way you have presented an almost ghost like quality with the boat ,it seems to pop in and out of the image very haunting and enjoyable well done
