With or without beacon ?
Some days ago I posted a picture of Fort Louvois with a beacon in the foreground. Several reactions, and shared opinions about the composition.
So, here another picture, without beacon, less centred. At the left, the Oleron bridge is more visible with its nice blue lights.

Mille excuses pour ma précédente intervention, en effet il est possible de resoumettre l'image; j'ai dû mal chercher pour retrouver la précédente.
Personnellement, je trouve que la précédente version était aussi bonne.

Hi Aline, I see this building photographed by you for the first time and I my say, that the photo without direct view on the light source is great. Beautiful reflection, lighting and of course the blue hour :-).
Regarding the composition, maybe I´d move the fort even more to the right...(depending on the surroundings and the view).
Anyway, it´s a very nice, calming photo.

Bonjour Aline,
A very special and beautiful view with these shades of blue, the reflecting lights, and the contrast with the golden fortress. The beam of light going upwards and its reflection bring the view to life.

Really nice photo. I like the peaceful mood of it. Very good symetrical composition. However the version with beacon is very good I prefer this one. It's more clear to me.

Hello aline,

The blue is deeper. The Fort is off-center. The light is better and those beautiful little blue lights along the road are now much more to see and they look great. Although i liked the other one also a lot, this is better imo in the overal composition and light....excellent..!!!

Bonjour Aline,

On attendait avec impatience la version du fort Louvois..sans ce fameux poteau ! ;o))
Décentré comme ceci, c'est tout aussi bien car le joli pont ( que je connais bien - j'adore Oléron!) est un peu plus présent et équilibre bien l'ensemble. Quant à la lumière, elle est aussi magique dans les deux versions...Avec ou sans poteau, les trekkers ne s'y sont pas trompés!

hummm, ben c'est difficile de trancher, alors que je me rapelle avoir dit que ce serait mieux sans ;)
Mais le batiment est mieux placé, toutes les lampes sur la gauche amènent bien le sujet, donc une petite préférence pour celle-ci!

j'aime bien cette atmosphère qui se dégage de ta photo, avec un contraste couleur chaude/couleur froide. L'horizon presqu'au centre ne gène pas car le reflet équilibre le fort.

Well, I found it, one month later. But it was worth finding.
Wonderful photo. The blues are lovely, the light is golden, the image is very sharp. A really good exposure. I have not looked yet at the other photo, so I don't know which I prefer. But this one is a beauty.
