Photographer’s Note

Rue de l'Escale :
Just two steps from the old harbor, one steps from the merchand center, this calm, quiet street is my favorite in La Rochelle.
As almost all the others, it is arch covered.

I'm perplex : the colors of this picture, once uploaded on the site, are more faded and warm than the original. This is the fist time I notice such difference.

Hello Aline,

Nice perspective of what it really seems to be a very quite street, the human figure adds even more peace to the composition as it also seems that the girls isn't in a hurry.

Hello Aline.
Your comment is interesting because I thought it lacked a little contrast. Once or twice in nearly 200 uploads, this has happpened to me. Also I noticed some of my files were smaller in kb than they should be. I don't know the explanation.
Anyway, the photo still looks wonderful, with your excellent composition through the arches and the girl skipping on the curved path. I also like the green leaves on the side. It is a delightful and refreshing picture.

Oups! j'étais persuadée avoir commentée cette photo que je trouve très intéressante par ses couleurs douces et l'effet dessin des textures.
Excellente composition avec une très belle perspective,la présence de cette fillette ajoute un plus.Cette photo illustrerait à merveille la couverture d'un livre ,style Martine!Bravo j'aime beaucoup
