Photographer’s Note

La Rochelle is a city of the Western France, and a seaport on the Atlantic Ocean.
La Rochelle has an important trading harbour (La pallice), a fishing harbour (Port neuf), and the largest European marina (Les Minimes).
But the central old harbour is the main jewel of the town.
At 7 A.M, the old harbour is very quiet and silent, even in August, when tourists flow in La Rochelle.
Only the voices of the sailors leaving the harbour resonate on the water.

The soft light of the early morning grants you a perfect atmosphere in order to catch the old harbour and the attractive reflections in the still water. The boat sailing towards the left corner is well placed and is a plus in the composition.

Greetings Aline. What a serene image. Lots of sky and water, but interesting because of the lovely pale light and the gentle motion of the yacht heading out. The cloud formation and its reflection suggest a painting. Beautifully exposed. Well done.

C'est vrai que ton ciel matinal et son reflet donne un effet très pictural, mais en plus les deux diagonales des bateaux et du quai conduisent bien le regard vers l'arrière plan donc belle composition.
pas de jaune, mais le bleu marche bien aussi.

Très belle composition très serenne où il est tout de même domage que tu ais amputé une partie de cette belle réflexion. La lumière est bien exploitée et fait bien ressortir ce magnifique ciel.

Nice shot, lovely soft tones of colour.
Good sharpness and composition.
The reflections also very good, nice that the boat is moving so slowly that the reflection of its sails is quite clear.
