Photographer’s Note

Saint Peter's church, Echebrune, dates from the 12th century though it bears evidence of restoration work carried out in the 15th century. The façade is a fine example of Saintonge Romanesque style.

Echebrune is small village with a population of around 460. Located in the ancient Saintonge area, it stands in the middle of the "Petite Champagne" vineyards that are a source of grapes that go into the production of cognac.
