Photographer’s Note
This old stone cross stands next to the church in the village of Echebrune in Charente-Maritime. Echebrune is small village with a population of around 460. Located in the ancient Saintonge area, it stands in the middle of the "Petite Champagne" vineyards that are a source of grapes that go into the production of cognac.

Hi Stephen,
A fine and well balanced picture of this cross. As usual good and soft colours. My only remark would be that there could be a little bit less of the gravel in the foreground. Otherwise very fine.
Greetings from Gothenburg

Bonjour Snunney,

Hi Stephen
Good sharpness, & superb pastel colours. Perhaps I would have tried to position the pillar in the gap at left but I know its not always possible. I like symmetrical relation, between the 2 stone structures. Tfs!

Hello Stephen,
Un ancien monument dans un joli cadre de verdure capturé sous un ciel très printannier.
Good comment.

Hello Stephen,
that is a nice juxtaposition of the cross and the water basin. Good diagonal lines all in parallel or in the height like the cross. The good light and shadows on the ground make this to a pleasant spring capture, more spring than we have here.

Hello Stephen
Une belle lumière pour bien mettre en valeur cette croix et cette ancienne tombe, les couleurs très douces donnent une bel impact à cette photo.
J'aime beaucoup!!

Hallo Stephen!
Here I like especially the wonderful atmosphere of this place - emphasized by the great light you have had there. A meaningful picture... Not an everyday photo.
Greetings from springlike Germany!
