This reaper had always a very bad vision. He is now totally blind.
I met him as he was reaping the grass in the alley of this corn field.
He told me how he usually counts his steps from his house to the fields of his son, in order to find his way.
He was reaping not for doing a real useful work, but, he said, "to find silence and tranquility around him"

Bonjour Aline. Sad and inspirational at the same time. i suppose every person is a heroic figure in some way or another. A comic one, a tragic one,... One does not have to read a Greek or Norse epic to be inspired.anyway, technically a well mastered shot considering the contrasts in exposure between the sky and the foreground.Very good clarity and light. Regards. Klaudio.

Belle image de localisation. Le sujet est bien gardé par les deux bordure de mais. Cela donne un effet de profondeur,, J'aime Réal.

At last I have seen your gallery again!
I like this shot, Aline, and your very interesting and sympathetic note. The photo seems to suggest to me how he has found his 'niche', between the corn rows, continuing to do his work in this peaceful setting. I also like the shallow depth of field, the sharp focus being restricted to a narrow zone. I think this highlights the whole question of vision and how we see things. Very good exposure and beautifully composed to place him on one side.
