The fortress
Chosen probably as the strategic position which establish the cliffs of Angles (they dominate 50 metres the valley of Anglin), the castle so built is quoted from 1025.

At the beginning of the XVth, two bishops begin to reshape the old fortress. Hugues dee Combarel build a lodging house of house which already evokes the Renaissance. The concern of approval begins to take it on the concern of defence. It also modifies the old donjon and signs its work by affixing its sculptured weapons: 3 scallops and a small star of a spur.
