Angles sur Anglin is classified " One of the most beautiful villages of France " and possess " 3 Flowers " in the selection of the Flowery Villages. Furthermore, its streets Medieval are the testimony still living on its rich historic past.

The " Jours d'Angles "

This unique craft contributes to the fame of the town since the middle of the last century. Of generation in generation, expert hands immortalize tradition. These embroidery of pulled threads occupied 300 workers to supply the Parisian department stores under Napoleon III and even till the end of 1930, the women of the village so ensure the economic prosperity of Angles.
Days work on any textiles with weaving silk, linen, cotton, by counting and by pulling the threads of the tissue, by means of small scissors in the very fine points..

A low POV and a tight standing frame with the combination of this rural houses with flowers on front we discover this impressive Roman church tower as a guard over the city, very well done Philippe, colors and sharpness to the point.

I love the title of this one. And suddenly I got the curiosity of visit this old medieval village. A very pleasant vertical composition with the sight of the old architecture and the flowers that makes the atmosphere nicer. The beautiful cloudy sky allways making your pictures more attractive.

Hello Philippe,
tu n'as évidement pas raté le clocher :-).
Une photo dont l'exposition est parfaite, les couleurs en ressortent intenses tout comme les contrastes de lumières. Les zones d'ombres et celles ensoleillées sont toutes bien exposées.
J'ai moi mêm posté avant hier une photo de 'Celles', réputé un des plus beaux villages de Belgique.

Bonjour Philippe, cela change de voir en verticale, et j'avoue que j'aime bien, une autre dimension à la photo, les couleurs ressortent bien, et toujours cette superbe lumière, à quelle heure prends tu tes meilleurs clichés?

I like the composition with the old house in the foreground leading us to the church towering above. Looking at the shadows the light looks strong but you have made a good job with the exposure.

Composition here is just lovely, Philippe! I love the way you've included the church tower in the upper corner, from which the eye is going down diagonally to the lower left with these flowers. The light is good, and the house with blue shutters make for a nice middle plane.

Bonjour Philippe,
Cette superbe photo renforce encore plus mon envie de visiter cette charmante ville. Charmante petite maison aux volets bleus dominée par cet imposant clocher. Le cadrage vertical et la route en pente (sans doute) donne un bel effet de contre plongée. Et la petite note toujours appréciable nous prouve que le photographe est aussi un expert des petits ciseaux.

One can see why this village has gained its reputation for beauty. I like this vertical format to portray the interesting exterior of the buildings. The church tower nicely balances the scene, and the blue shutters add another dimension of colour. I also like the angled appearance of the pavement and the play of light and shadow in the foreground. Well captured. Amicalement.

Well, judging by this impression, it indeed looks like a very charming village, Philippe. Good framing to include the church (of course :) and the adjacent old buildings with the blue window shutters and the roses outside. Pleasant light and good tech on this one.

Autre composition splendide d'un petit coin de ton pays.
Cette photo nous montre avec une grande clarté cette vieille architecture de l'église et des maisons, qui malgré son âge supportent parfaitement le pas du temps.
Le contraste des parois avec ces belles roses est très charmant.
Tu as recueilli un ciel avec des nuages très décoratifs et jolis.
Bon travail révélateur de ces beaux villages, que tu immortalises et tu nous fais connaître dans tes bonnes photos.

Bien vu ce que tu nous montre de ce tres joli village n'est pas ce qu'on en voit le plus souvent. Le coté "ramassé" lourd, à l'instar du clocher, de cette compo est interessant. Comme toujours cadrage, netteté,contraste et lumière( tres particulière) sont au rendez vous.Bravo.

Une belle vue, ca c'est sure et ê classé dans les plus beaux villages de la France ca veut dire qq chose! Je trouve que la lumière n'était pas idéale (sentiment personel) mais la composition est très bien avec la tour de l'église (obligatoire ;-)) qui surveille le village. Bon we!

Je ne connaissais pas ce village, mais le point de vue est vraiment intéressant. L'exposition est bien maitrisée car la lumière est encore haute dans le ciel. Cela permet un excellent relief des constituants. Très jolie composition.

Pas facile à assembler cette composition et maîtriser la luminosité.
Je note que tu t'es bien débrouillé pour nous faire apprécier cette architecture.
Il me semble que ce clocher a été rehaussé à diverses époques.

Je dirais moi qu'il y a beaucoup de villages de France qui sont classés et qui sont tous plus beaux les uns que les autres...non...qu'en penses-tu?
Mais je te fait confiance pour celui-ci..( rire )
Belle image que tu nous présente ici d'un bon point de vue,vive les vacances pour en visiter...( merde cet année je ne vais pas en France mais en Espagne plage pour faire plaisir à la famille)....:-)

les Anglesois-sur l-Anglin peuvent te remercier de faire rentrer ce nom dans (potentiellment..) tous les ordinateurs de la planète....!!
plsu serieusement, c'est encore une joli papagolfade, equipée d'une note interessante..
Imagine si l'on te lache en Corse, avec ses 360 communes, dotées d'au moins deux clochers...!!!!

This is a lovely scenery and a great composition thanks to exceptionally efficient framing. I like gradation of the photo from the tiny roses in foreground through the picturesque houses in the middle plan to the magnificent tower coronated by the impressive sky in the last layer.
By the way, I’ve noticed a slight shift in the style of your recent photos – you seem to pay more attention to less spectacular, but by no means less beautiful architecture of small houses and to charm of nameless corners like in these photos of Angles-sur-l Anglin or Chambon. I like them all very much.
