Photographer’s Note

The arch
The cellars located at the level of the arch were used as warehouses for the salt traded at the time of the large fairs of Angles and for the salt of smuggling. Its architecture is inspired by that of the Spanish cities (Saragossa).

Joli cliché de ce pavement qui conduit le regard jusque sous le porche. La végétation fait un cadre agréable à l'image.

Good choice of vertical format to show off the old cobbles. I love all the old buildings and narrow streets and the way you framed your composition with all the greenery. The arch at the end adds an air of mystery to the image, while we wonder where it leads.

Très joli cadrage avec les branchages au premier plan.Le chemin pavé nous conduit sous le porche d'ambiance médiévale.
J'ai l'impression d'une dominante violette,est-ce les couleurs d'origine?

Encore un joli village à visiter; le point de vue est bien choisi; il me semble voir une dominante magenta/cyan en fonction de mon écran; mais ce n'est pas grave car cela peut s'arranger.

Bonjour Papagolf, joli passage présenter dans son cadre de verdure, pour une floraison de début d’été incitant à se laissé glissé, ou aspiré par cette pente naturelle, jusqu’au fond de l’image et au vu de cette architecture de style espagnol, ce sera à coup sur pour un dépaysement assurer, bien amicalement

A charming little scene with the old stone walls and cobbled pavement. The repeated stone arches are wonderful and the climbing roses and honeysuckle framing the foreground give a nice splash of colour.

Hi Philippe,
A superb POV for this well balanced photo. I like the clarity and textures here, as one can discern every stone in the path. The eye is drawn steadily toward the arch and the greenery nicely conrasts with the ancient structures. A good use of the vertical format. Well captured.

A nice see through the greens of this small street towards the organic architecture of this old quarter to the arch, Philippe, a nice composed shot, the colors seems slightly less natural to me by the clarity on the same level, no shadow light play and the sky was of course in a terrible difficult contrast for a digital.

An amazing crispness and DOF in this photo, Philippe, with a rather pleasant subject provided by the old cobblestone alley leading towards the arch. The greenery provides a vivid color contrast. Overall the color palette seems to lean a bit towards red, but I am not sure. Nice photo overall.

Cette image nous transporte hors du temps puisqu'aucun élément ne nous permet de nous situer temporellement. Une grande impression de quiétude se dégage de cette ruelle agréablement décorée de quelques roses rouges.

Simply Lovely compostion, with the pathway leading our view to the arch. Your framing is excellent with the greens on either side in the FG. The small lamp up in the wall next to the arch is a nice addition. Excellent depth & perspective

Adorable composition, with the narrow alley, and stoned pavement. The sense of depth and the details are wonderful. The red flowers on top of the arch and the pale color in the sky are superb mon ami.
