At the boundaries of Poitou and Berry, the village of Angles sur l'Anglin is a jewel that offers to each look...
Of course, a stroll is highly recommended in this village listed as one of the most beautiful villages of France.
Its paved streets, its winding alleys will drive you to : la Tranchée des Anglais, la Huche Corne, to the castle of the XI and XV century, to the Sainte Croix chapel...

Everything here brings us back that Angles sur l'Anglin was an important place of the history, dominated by the bishops, then by the Lusignan family, bitterly disputed by the English people and the French, torn between the Huguenots and the Catholics, rather hostile to the revolutionary ideas and relatively flourishing at the XIX century thanks to its famous Jours d'Angles, very appreciated lace by Parisian Ladies...

But, to be able to discover the prehistoric sculptures dating from the Magdalenian period, discovered in the village at the "Roc aux Sorciers", you’ll have to be patient, the facsimile will only open to public from spring 2008.

Bonjour Cédric,

Voilà un village typiquement français aux vieilles maisons en pierre. Bonne ambiance paisible.
Le premier plan est dans l'ombre, mais est très bien exposé, ce qui nous laisse le loisir d'y discerner des détails.

Belle succession de toitures formant un bel ensemble texturé et contrasté.Cadrage soigné, notamment avec le clocher qui domine la scène, bien placé sur une ligne de force.

Hi Cedric,
A beautifully composed picture, with quite a cubistic approach. The old bridge in the shadow provide a fine dark blue shade the balances the light brown buildings above. Many fine and pleasant details in the cityscape behind.

Bonjour Cédric,

belle composition, avec ce beau village, aux habitations regroupées autour de son clocher.
Le premier plan, dans l'ombre, nous invite, à poursuivre notre chemin, pour découvrir le village, éclairé par la belle lumière rasante de fin de journée.
Un petit élément perturbe le regard, c'est le petit bout de toit, sur la droite à la hauteur du lampadaire.
