Photographer's Note

View on headquarters of Crédit Industriel et Commercial Ouest bank, often just called CIC Ouest. These modern buildings face the International Convention Centre of Nantes. The light was not fantastic that sunday afternoon. But I found the graphism of the buildings could make a nice B&W shot !

Salut Olivier,
et bien c'est un très bel essai je trouve! La compo est bien équilibrée avec ces marches graphiques au premier plan qui font écho au reste. La conversion en N&B marche bien. J’aurais peut-être utilisé un filtre dégradé là pour le sauver un peu plus de ciel...
Petite retouche aussi que je ferais : redresser la perspective sur l'arête à gauche qui est bien tordue...
Ceci dit, j'aime beaucoup l'ensemble.

Bonjour Olivier,

Tres moderne et deshumanisé comme vue, c est d ailleurs ce qui fait le charme et l interet de cette photo. La composition me va bien meme si je trouve l avant plan un peu vide (malgré la texture du sol). Je sais que c est une de mes manies, mais j aurais bien vu une petite silhouette isolé sur ce parvis ;-)

I can see why you wanted to change this into a black and white, the sky looks overly bright and overcast.
the building produces a great visual in this color format, and the many blocks and squares and strong lines creates the graphic architectural component.
