Photographer's Note

Following the snowfalls in the night from saturday to sunday, here is a new shot of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre under snow. On the photo you can see La Gilière castle in the very centre of the town. It was built by Adoplhe Ollivry in 1839 and is home of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre townhouse from 1980.

La Chapelle-sur-Erdre is a around 17,000 town situated a few kilometers north east of Nantes. It sits on the bank of river Erdre, affluent of river Loire, and has a good reputation for its living quality : not far from Nantes, all services you need (schools, shops, ...) and a well preserved nature. River Erdre is famous for its many castles and manors called Folies de l'Erdre (Follies of Erdre). The density of manors and castles in the area is unique in Europe. For example there are about 20 castles and manors just in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre !
