Nouveau Théatre d'Angers

Le Quai is a cultural structure at the service of creativity and the public. It is the answer to a unique mission: to gather in one place all of the arts--theatre, dance, music, opera, street arts, circus, the visual arts--for all audiences.

Located across from the Château of King René, beside the Maine River, Le Quai creates a dialogue between the downtown business sector and the historical quarter of La Doutre.

It responds to an original cultural objective: to gather in one location organisations dedicated to the diffusion and creation of the various arts for all audiences. Le Quai relies on two organisations: the National Dramatic Centre, Pays de Loire (NTA), lead by Frédéric Bélier-Garcia and the National Centre of Contemporary Dance (CNDC), headed by Emmanuelle Huynh. Open-Arts, a public establishment for cultural cooperation (EPCC), directed by Christopher Crimes, manages the site and provides the programming for music, circus, street arts, visual arts and all of the new aesthetic forms.
