Photographer’s Note

Known as with your General that I will answer him by the mouth of my guns. Such were the words of the Frontenac Governor, when the Phips General asked him to return Quebec to English in 1690. After three days of strength to the constant attacks of the Canadian militiamans and the temperature which became icy, Phips was resigned to return to Boston. Quebec was saved! It is in 1759 that Quebec was taken by English under the orders of the Wolfe General. It is necessary to come to Brittany to think of those which built Canada and made the country qu'il of them is today. C'est of Brittany which several builders left New France. I nothing found on this gun turned towards the sea, I am even sur that it is in Vannes. Then do not to correct me if somebody recognizes the place. Thank you.
