Photographer’s Note

The dome panoramiquede Beautiful-Air is an antique Celtic place of worship dedicated to the god Sun "Bellenos". Until the XIX 2nd century, with the site of the current vault (dedicated to Our-injury of Mount Carmel), drew up a mythical stone of communion with the celestial powers. The site consists of a vast circular zone divided into eight concentric alleys. It is probable that one carried out around Beautiful-Air of the processions according to circular triple route. But on this site the question of a central element arises, it preserved a long time all the same a pertaining to worship importance, the populations having perpetuated during centuries the ritual practices their ancestors. The toponym itself would indicate a bond with Gallic God. In 1855 Monseigneur Mée made there build the oratory of Our-injury Mount Carmel and into 1862 Monseigneur David transformed the oratory into vault. To 349 m of altitude the sight on the forest of Loudéac, Bay of Saint-Brieuc and the hills of Carried out is impregnable.
