Photographer’s Note
Good Morning Everyone,
Welcome to a very rainy England!
To lift my spirits, I am posting another shot from my recent holiday in France.
This shot shows a lovely peaceful and unhurried scene on the banks of the river at Pontrieux. The bridge in the background linked the pretty town with this lovely park. Many people were picnicking at the purpose-built tables or just stretching out to enjoy the sunshine.
In the background to the left, you will just be able to discern the top of the children's playground, a wonderful addition to the park, fenced for safety and very imaginitively created.
Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)
Hand held.

A nice and peaceful shot with an attractive frame. I may be wrong but I have the impression that there is a tilt in the shot.

Hi Beverley,
This is a very nice scene. The greens seem nicely saturated and enhance the natural feeling of this composition. Good details and point of view to capture the bridge on the side...I don't know how much rain you get in England but I imagine lots! Cheers :-)

Bev, you have changed venues, but it is as lovely a one as your shots in UK. This one is very nice, detail is super. Are you using a circular polarizer? Color is also very sedate and pastel, very comfortable feeling shot.

Hello Bev,
it is a very beautiful place indeed. I like the way you cropped the picture cutting off the top part of the tree reduced the sky a and let the green colour dominate.
All the people there add a great holiday atmosphere (holidays are over here, unfortunately :-( ).
best regards

Hi Bev,
Another charming countryside image with the lush green banks and trees bleding a varying shades of green reflection in the slightly riffling river.
Love the patches of blue in the clearing sky and the people strolling at a nice lazy summer pace.

What a picturesque scene, so full of rural quietness!
A good point of view to show the place, the river makes a fine diagonal in the composition...

Hello Bev,
the willow by the water looks like it could be a scene from a french Wind in the Willows.A lovely composition with the willow perfectly placed and the diagonal line of the river leading us under the pretty bridge.Wish I was there now as i am sick to death of our grim weather.

Hello Beverley,
a very relaxing view of such a nice place. There's everything that makes me think this might be a beautiful place to visit, with the vibrant green of the grass, the nice bridge with its flowers crossing the canal....and the children's playground for my twins...how beautiful! And it looks you had quite a decent weather, not like the mancunian summer :o(
Very nice presentation indeed, I like it.
Regards,
Igor
