Photographer’s Note
Here you see the calvary and church of Pleyben, a small village in Brittany (Bretagne).
A calvary (calvaire) is a sculpture, where "the way to the cross" can be seen.

Mooie bijne geheel frontale archi compo, Hans.

Uw werk is zeer groot Hans, bedankt!

Hoi Hans, lekkere zomerse foto van deze mooie calvarie en kerk. Mooi afgebakend door de volle, en lage boom. Indrukwekkende calvarie trouwens, mooie lucht.

It is an interesting picture: never seen before a sculpture like this. I'd like to examinate it from closer. Have you other photos?
Good picture and colours.

Lovely ensamble here, Hans! I like the way you composed it, presenting the church architecture from a fine POV and with very good sharpness. I love the true colours and the well ballanced light. Very well done!

What a nice church, I'm sure Papagolf will appreciate... ;-)
Strange architecture, that's the very first time I see a calvary on the roof.
Another good shot !

Hans
Thanks for sharing, the texture of the sandstone is beautiful, as is the triagular composition created by the towers.

Très belle composition Hans, difficile à réaliser pour mettre tous ces édifices religieux sur une même prise de vue.
Très belles couleurs.
J'aime beaucoup.
Very beautiful Hans composition, difficult to realize to put all these religious buildings on the same catch of sight.
Very beautiful colors.I like much.

Wow - Theres a theme showing Churches in village - but somehow this "monument" dosn't seams to fit there ;-)
Very dramatic artworks - Jesus on the cross - surely a place to visit - thanks for sharing Hans.

Hi Hans,
I've already seen this shot before and I'd like to vote it, but for the first time I'm out of point, I'll come back tomorrow!:)
I like very much this architecture and the pov you have chosen with the tower ( or bell tower?) decentralized on the left, very interesting sculpture!

This is a fine image, yet like others you've posted of large masses of buildings there is something unsettling to my eye. I downloaded this image to check out the alignment of the different building elements and understood immediately that what is working on my eye is the natural distortion of perspective. There are so many verticals lines and so many horizontal lines, they begin working on my mind, somewhat like a youthful drug trip. I'm not suggesting you attempt to correct for this natural phenomenon, which is perhaps added to by your camera lens, but I wanted to share my reaction. I love everything about the image and... I need to stop looking at it for a while and focus on something simpler. ;-)

Bonjour Hans
Les églises Bretonnes sont très somptueuses; l'architecture est très appréciable et le POV est très intéressant.
Hello Hans
The Britany churches are very sumptuous; architecture is very appreciable and the POV is very interesting.

hello hans,
great arq you've captured here.
i love the bright blue coudy sky.
it contrastes very well with the colour of the cgurch.
it is a gothic church isn't it? maybe a more elaborated note would turn this into a better work.
regards
