Vincent,

First, great note that statement is as true now as it was in 1866 and complements this picture perfectly.

The inclusion of the person in this scene should almost be compulsory. It adds so much.

The colors are great and the exposure in the sky and ground are great. The coastline is a great counterpoint for the boy and sun. Good composition.

Great rich tone of colours and the big vast and patternful sky compensates well in this mood.Excellent composition.The different tones of colours is exquisite.I can see the joy and happiness as the boy jumps to the sea....

Hi Vincent,
Your super wide angle is great here. I especially love the huge expanse of sky and the soft fluffy clouds scatterd over it, this makes the shot for me. I like your composition where you a little bit of the houses and land jutting out from the side. The boy running into the water adds wonderful extra life to the shot.

the title fits the image so well..and the vast expense of space - good that u framed it with most sky- makes this quite a dramatic pic with a small person plunging into the sea...nice bit of anchoring (by town) on the right too - but if that is gone, th result could be more dramatic. good work

What an amazing and beautiful sky. It deserves all the space you have given it in the frame. The figure running into the sea is so tiny in the vast seascape, illustrating your quotation perfectly. Without the inclusion of the land on the right the composition would not have worked so well. Very good work.
I can't help wondering what you found first; the quotation or the photograph.

Very effectful this one Vincent. Top compo disposed very good with the low placement of the horizon line. The single person out there of course important as setting the scale and adding life to the overall impression.

Well composed with a real sense of freedom with the sea and the vast sky, as exemplified by your fine note. The child in the surf provides warmth and balance, and I like the view of the village in the distance. I spent some time in Brittany on my recent vacation and loved the region. Amities.

Now that's a sky. Great composition with the blue cloud filled sky and turquoise water, the bit of beach and houses on the right, and the boy running into the water. Good color and note also. A really good looking wide angle photo.

Pas grand monde dans l'eau tout de même malgré le beau temps !!! Le ciel est impressionnant et donne une belle profondeur à l'image. Les couleurs sont très agréables. Pour ma part vivement la fin juillet pour respirer l'air de nos côtes...

La citation est adéquate pour cette belle photo aux couleurs is chaudes, l'enfant semble en effet minuscule au milieu de cette étendue, très inspirant !

bon cadrage avec un grand espace pour ce beau ciel, et le complément de la côte à droite, l'horizon et la mer très bas dans le cadre et l'enfant en courant entre les vagues dans une scène que ton titre définit avec clarté, liberté.
Un beau travail, avec une bonne lumière et de belles couleurs.

Vincent j'aime l'immensité de l'espace qui est bien traduite dans cette photo. La silhouette du baigneur accentue encore cette impression d'espace. Les couleurs de la mer sont superbes. Le ciel est très impressionnant.

A wonderful composition, Vince, with that tiny figure overwhelmed by that magnificnet sky. It makes him appear so vulnerable. The upward curve of the sky gives it an added dramatic look. It is very well exposed too. A really lovely shot. regards kevin
