Photographer’s Note
Green is the colour of the sea in this part of the world. This is why this coastline of north Brittany is called the Emerald Coast. It is especially true during winter time, when the sun is very low and the sky often cover with clouds.
I lived there during the first 10 years of my life. The place is pretty much empty during during winter time. It is in this void that I experienced so well immensity day after day. Immensity of the sea, immensity of the sky, alone with the sea gulls.

Hello Vincent,
Your place must be enjoyable for living and seems its a great tranquillizer. I like splendid contrast between emerald and rocks on shore. Clouds are working very well as you wrote. Congratulations.
I would like to wish you and your family a healthy, happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year.
Best Regards,
Ertugrul

Nice shot the color of sea is marvelous and dark grey overcast sky is making it splendid. There is no reflection on the surface of water how you managed it did you use polarizer?

Hi Vincent,
This is a wonderful colour for the sea. I like the sea gulls in the shot, and your composition of the coast on the one side.

Amicalement, Christian

Hi Vincent
Splendid composition in stunning colours. The birds and the two coloured sea play main parts but the sky is also fantastic.

Green sea is something we associate with the South Sea Islands, not France. There is an amazing contrast between the sea colour and the sky in shades of grey. A well composed image with depth, thanks to the foreground rocks and island in the background.
Happy New Year to you and your family.

Hello Vincz
The colour of the sea is beautiful indeed..the place is so quiet & lonely. Love the gulls as they frolic in the vast waters. Well done
Best wishes for the new year

Bonjour Vincent,

Salut Vincent,
I was showing some of your photos to my son when I noticed this one. Although I don't find it that great, somehow I like it very much (and that's the what should count more, isn't it?). I like the "visual way" formed by the shoreline that conducts our eyes to the islet on the distance, the sense of depth, much enhanced by the clouds, the birds and (of course!) the amazing gradients of colour on the water. That sky, the rocky coast and also the presence of birds gives it a very dramatic atmosphere.
Good work, TFS.
Amicalement, José.
I hope you are already working on your posts of Vietname. :-) Hey, but I hope also that the Nepal series isn't finished.
