Photographer’s Note
Low tide in Val-Andre. The boats are at rest on the dry port...
Val-Andre is one of the communities of Pleneuf-Val-Andre municipality. A truly vacation town which flourished during the belle-époque in the 1920's when two to three luxurious store houses were built along its large side-walks along the coast line. The British and French bourgeoisie flocked to town during the summer days to play at the casino and enjoy the beach pleasures. The glamorous days may be gone, but the town still keep its old charm.

Very well framed picture with a thought through composition. I like how the wall takes up the entire left edge of the picture, ending right in the top corner. The lines created by its shadow look quite interesting and the buildings in the back look sharp and vivid as well. The boat really is my favorite aspect of the picture. Well placed within the picture and its red color really stands out.

Flavia,

Hi Flavia!
Beautiful place, excellent photo! Great use of the square frame, excellent composition, I particularly like the dark triangle created by the shadow, that leads the eye to the beautiful village! Excellent inclusion of the lovely boat in the foreground! Brilliant colours! Congratulations!

Olá, Flávia!
A luz foi muito bem controlada aqui, com esta sombra dando um formato bem interessante à sua foto! O barquinho vermelho foi perfeitamente posicionado também! Belíssima composição!

Hello Flavia,
Excellent hunt of the red boat is just eye catching on dried shore during low-tide. Shadow from left helps to increase its contrasts with dark part. Well selected point of view for adding traditional facades and next residences at ridge. Very clever setup, congratulations.

Flavia,
This is a well composed shot using the dark shadow to lead the eye into the shot. The placement of the boat is great giving the scene a nice sense of depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Hello Flavia,
Liked your vertical framing, and the curved shape shadow that is parallel to the top part of the boat.
Best Regards,

Bonjour Flavia
Pas génante cette courbe ombrée qui met en évidence la barque cadrée en point fort.
