When I was embarking on "Belem" for this second cruise, there were other sailing boats in Lorient, since the harbor was a stop for Course de l'Europe, a competition for multi-hulls sailing boats. Also present was this strange motorised trimaran racer sponsored by Fujicolor. Quite a difference between these ships and the one from which this picture was taken, nearly a century between them and such a gap in terms of technology. I also post in workshop another picture of the harbour, a bit grey, but with the two types of ships, the old and the new ones.

Alors que j'embarquais sur le "Belem" pour ma seconde croisière, il y avait d'autre voiliers dans le port de Lorient, celui-ci étant une escale pour la course de l'Europe, une compétition de multicoques. Il y avait également ce curieux trimaran de course à moteur, sponsorisé par Fujicolor. Quelle différence entre ces voiliers et celui d'où cette photo a été prise, presque un siècle de distance mais un tel fossé technologique. Je mets également en workshop une autre photo du port, un peu grise, mais sur laquelle on voit les deux types de voliers, le vieux et les nouveaux.
