Photographer’s Note

One more picture in my collection about Lorient commercial port. I used to show you the scrap eater, here is now the cereals eater ! More edible, isn't it ? I tried to use elusive lines of rails, quays and of conveyor belt. Low winter sun warmed up the crane a little. But only the crane : it was so cold my ears were about to explode lol

Bonjour Olivier,

Toujours aussi attirantes ces grues avec leurs formes de dinosaure. L eclairage est bien utilisé avec la grue dans le soleil et l avant plan dans l ombre.
Pour le cadrage j aurais bien enlevé un bout du premier plan pour couper juste au raz de la bite d amarrage.

If not for your note, I wouldn't have thought it was cold. I looks like a warm evening. I love the clarity of this image, even in the low light area, everything is so nicely visible. A very nice depiction of this giant machine. Excellent light and wonderful color. I heard that Steven Spielberg got his inpiration of the creature that appear in the first Starwar from seeing these crans. thanks
