Photographer’s Note

On Lorient commercial port, a crane above a scrap heap. Scrap comes from industrial wretches and recycling (cars, appliances, cannings, ...). These wretches are crushed and sent by boat to steel factories that will use it to produce steel. In France 50% of steel comes from recycled wretches. Most of Lorient port activity comes from food industries, hydrocarbons and sand, so scrap is a welcomed diversification. I love cranes you can see on ports, they are very photogenic.
