Good Morning Everyone,
The Mill of Chaos stands at the entrance to the Valley of Boulders. It is a working water mill, which I will show from the back in a w/s photograph here .
In the distance, you will be able to see the beginning of the boulder valley and the pretty cottage, that I posted yesterday.
This is such an amazing place. It is no wonder that it is steeped in mystery and tales of long gone giants. If you follow this link it provides both fact and fiction about Huelgoat Forest.
Hope your day is better than the grey, windswept weather in England, today, Bev :-)

Good morning Beverly,
Both te WS and this pic. show the old mill and the surrounding boulders. Yet, I find the WS as taken with a perfect light condition and thus enhanced colors on.
Details shown very cearly, and those boulders look as rolled downhill's some ancient time ago.
Best regards, and have a nice weekend,

I like this composition very much. The eyes move naturally through the frame from one element to the next culminating in the focal point offered by the delightful cottage. The image benefits from a pleasant ambient light and good colours and sharpness.
No better weather here I'm afraid.

a natural follow on shot from yesterday's post and such a beautiful setting. It has a Cornish feel about it this place. Flawless clarity and a real sense of the ambience of this delightful little place. Wonderful!

J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage vertical qui apporte beaucoup de profondeur à la composition qui jouit d'une superbe lumière. La maison blanche est particulièrement bien accrochée à son rocher.

I love the names of the places, like something from an ancient legend, or perhaps Lord of the Rings. The boulders look strange in such close proximity to the mill, and you have created perfect depth in the scene as we follow the stream up to that beautiful cottage. For some reason that house looks to me like something from the centre of a town more than the countryside. Great scene.

Another beautiful scene from this lovely place. We get a better view of the enormity of these boulders in this shot and they certainly are big. Lovely composition with the old mill in the foreground with the little pond and that remarkable house situated behind in the background.
Have a good weekend.

Ciao e buona domenica

After 5 days of gloom and rain the sun is finally out here in west Turkey. Good sharpness and a nice downward pov through the rocky chasm. Excellent textural details in the sides of the stone cottage with the white washed dwelling in the bg providing a fine focal point. Have a nice week!

This is a lovely POV showing how the house ovelooks the entrance of the "Chaos".
Nice contrast between the white house and the granite water-mill in the foreground.
Have a nice evening.

Dear Beverley, I observe that you appreciate a lot your stay in Brittany, nice perspective and view of that little river, it's almost dry, a remarkable architecture made of old stones, the light and colors are excellent, all the best, have a nice evening
