Photographer's Note

Hede is an old mill town in the north east of Brittany (we stayed in a converted mill). Nearby is the settlement of La Magdeleine on the Ill-et-Rance canal. This photo was taken at one of the 11 locks near the town. The lock keeper's houses are now mostly privately owned with exclusive water frontages. The tow path makes for good walking except perhaps when it starts to rain as happened when we were there.
This is a re-posting of a photo I originally posted some time ago. I've rotated it a little to get the levels better, cropped out excessive water and worked on the sky to bring up the clouds a little.
