Photographer’s Note

-- Godelins beach --

Located on a plateau above the Breton coast (on the Channel) at about 15 km North-West of Saint-Brieuc, Etables was formerly a community of fishermen and peasants. From the end of the 19th century it developed into a seaside resort for family holidays, using its two main beaches at Godelins in a wild location under the cliffs and at the mill at the mouth of the rural Ponto valley. Nowadays Etables-sur-Mer is a small town of almost 3,000 inhabitants ; its people intend to develop their city while protecting their environment, especially the rural parts of their territory and the natural spaces that still exist along the coastline.

I allow myself at the occasion of this 200th publication to thank all the members and friends of TE who liberally delivered their opinion on my photographs and allowed me to progress humbly.

With all my thanks.
