Photographer’s Note

While waiting for this year's picture of the Cod Festival in Binic (check out my galleries and Jean-Michel Daoudal's for more details), here is a picture from last year Festival. The boats are arriving after a day at sea to enter the harbour, and parade in front of the harbour, for the photographer's greatest delight.

In the foreground is "Jouet des Flots", a gaff-sail cutter from Carantec (Britanny), in the middle is "Le Lys Noir", an authentic yacht from the 1920s (from Granville, Normandy) and on the left, at the back is "Ar Jentilez", replica of a working boat from Ploumanach (North Brittany).
