Photographer’s Note

Here are the ruins of ancient benedictine abbey of Saint Nicolas, in the valley of river Gamage, in Blasimon, a few kilometers east of Bordeaux. This old abbey was built in 12th and 13th centuries. Its surprisingly well preserved church is of both roman and gothic styles. It is filed as historical monument.

C'est vrai qu'elle a de l'allure cette abbaye prise sous cet angle et avec cette lumière ... et dire qu'elle n'est pas très loin de chez moi et pourtant je ne l'ai jamais prise en photo. merci de me la faire redécouvrir.
