A moment of french Dolce Vita taken in the historic center of Sarlat, people are taking a break on the cafe terraces enjoying this southwestern spring day while the sun warms the house facades creating a nice contrast against the storm to come.

Quelle belle lumière sur ces superbes façades . C'est bien évidemment une très belle cité très touristique , et l'ambiance y est bien rendue . J'aime beaucoup le ciel , aussi .

Effectivement, il doit faire bon se prélasser sur cette terrasse en sirotant quelque chose.
Le cadre est splendide et cette place semble avoir un excellent potentiel photographique.

Une jolie petite ville française que voici. Je suis parfois impressionnée de découvrir l'impressionnant patrimoine que possède notre pays!
Les façades chaudes et éclairées contrastent très bien avec le ciel un peu couvert, et les gens rendent cette image vivante.

Au mois de mai c'est quand même plus tranquille et la lumière moins vive qu'en août ! surtout quand on tombe un jour de marché...
Très beau point de vue sur cette place,l'ambiance rendue est fort agréable .

I love the perspective in this shot, and I think it's enhanced by the colors in the walls and sky. It gives a total feel for the moment and makes me wish I was there sipping a coffee.

Voilà un bel instantané de vie quotidienne... Les couleurs et la lumière sont gérées de manière bien naturelle. Les ocres des façades contrastent très heureusement avec les gris du ciel menaçant.

Bonjour, JY. Une photo où les passants animent bien le centre de l'image. Les personnes attablées à la terrasse apportent quelques touches de couleurs et les façades se détachent bien sur le ciel menaçant.

This is what I love about and many people love about traveling in Europe, are the sidewalk and cafe and square, especially on sunny day like this one. You just sit and soak up the sun. Beautiful spring day, perfect for walking about and sit down for a refreshment or coffee. beautiful image, good composition, atmosphere is perfectly depicted in this shot. I like it very much, Thanks

I love this outside café culture in Europe's warmer climes, although parts of the UK are seeking to copy it with the aid of patio heaters. ;D ( We even have one near our beach with big blankets provided) The warm colours of the building are soaking up the sun beautifully. You chose your POV carefully so the emptier part of the square takes us into the scene diagonally.

This photo brings back many pleasant memories. Several year ago we spent a week at a very nice hotel in Vézac, not far from here. Sarlat is indeed a very attractive town and this picture shows excellently the beautiful town centre!

A great shot of this truly French scene. Your POV and composition are great including the cafes and people in the foreground with the nice architecture providing a backdrop. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The dark clouds provide nice contrast for the brightly lit scene.

Place de la Liberté seems to be mild with full of spring light despite stormy sky.
This may be a French version of Dolce Vita that was Furachan's favorite subject.

I recognised this Sarlat square from the thumbnail. Lovely photo, capturing nicely the warm colours of the buildings and the woolly clouds. I found this town to be delightful, especially on market day. Looks like a nice, warm spring day in this one, with rain threatening perhaps. Nicely done.

C'est magique comment ces façades jaunes témoignent la belle lumière du soleil. L'image transmet très bien ce "feeling" de début de printemps. La lourdeur du ciel fait un beau contraste.
