Photographer’s Note

Timbered houses exist also in Perigord apparently ...
Other region, another architecture, but in Terrasson, there are still some houses along the Vézère which are decorated with pretty timber.
Above the river, dominates the "Falaise de Malpas", composed of sandstone and sand which is 350m long and 32m high.
The cliff has always been an axis of passage, highly strategic in different periods of our history. Thanks to the natural promontory, Terrasson was protected from various attacks and organize a life as peaceful as possible.
The Malpas is the place were erected the castle, the remparts and the abbey.
