Photographer's Note
Puymartin castle... again... few minutes before the previous posting.
A huge storm had just passed over the castle.

Nice castle and nice view of the castle. The dark sky helps create a somber and mysterious atmosphere. I like the angle you chose.

Hi Steven,
A very good follow-up to the previously posted one.
If the aim was to create a special dramatic atmosphere, I would say you've succeded in achieving it through your PP-ing.
The sky is of a great deep grey colour where some areas behind trees are omitted, but the rest is just fine.
You were lucky to have this great light on the castle!
Very interesting work!

Bonjour Steven,

I like the dark sky, and it's a spectacular castle, but two things bother me: the first is the large halo around the dark edges - I like your lightening of the stonework, but this edge seems too unnatural to me. The second is the tilted perspective - it's not tilted enough to be an significant element of the picture, so I think it would be better straight - taken from further away.

Bonsoir Steven.

Hi Steve,
I´ve run through your gallery and I´m impressed...this looks like an amazing place, the after-storm weather gives it such a dark mysterious atmosphere...well done!
